New Cameras

Post by BobC »

I am looking to purchase some new cameras early next year. What I have in mind is 1 or 2 in the $3500 to $5000 price range and 1 or 2 in the $2000 to $2500 range. I would prefer they be all from the same manufacturer so as to keep the images looking similar. What models would you recommend?

Right now the best bang for the buck and a current camera is the Panasonic Ag AC-130. Will fit your budget. Mine is on the way. Check out the XF-100 by Canon albeit single chip and a 10X zoom but an excellent camera.

Thanks, Lou. Was looking at both and leaning towards the Panasonic. Do you think the AG-HMC40 would be a suitable B camera to match with the the 130?

Yes. the coloremetry will match. However, the 1/4 inch chips will be challenging in low light and picture quality will be a little softer. Focal length is different. Will work better the than Panny 80.
