Re: Edit Canon HDSLR footage with your iPad 2
This is a great example of how we need an Ipad sized casablanca that could do even more than this example shows. It is very much technically possible.
I recommend we suggest to Macrosystem to create a portable system like this that will have the full software capability we currently have on our desktop units.
Thanks for sharing this Seth.

Syl, I would also recommend you check out the new iPad App from AVID - you'll find that article here:
AVID Studio for iPad
Pretty amazing - for US$4.99 you get a mini edit studio on the go.
Wow!
Regards,
Chet

Try this one;
http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/avid-stu ... 13378?mt=8
I use the iPad to copy off footage (using the Apple Camera Kit) from a Go Pro.
As the camera can't play back this is a simple and fairly quick way of checking what you've actually filmed - as opposed to what you think you've filmed

Sorry about that incorrect link Syl - I see Michael provided you with a good link.
Here's the original link I _meant_ to share: http://www.yourtechnologytutor.com/your ... eview.html
And here is another I found this morning: http://www.imore.com/2012/02/04/imovie-avid/ where the author compares and contrasts the iPad iMovie App against the new AVID iPad app.
Regards,
Chet

Re: Edit Canon HDSLR footage with your iPad 2
I have been toying around with iMovie and the Avid apps. IMovie is well.....pretty darn easy to get around in. Avid,on the other hand is still lacking many features that are supposed to be there. From what I understand on the mobile Avid apps forum, they are taking suggestions as to what features need to be added. Come to think of it, that seems like a pretty good idea. Imagine...... users actually joining forces and making suggestions to Macrosystem......
The USB/SD adapter kit for the iPad makes it very easy to import stills and video. Footy from my 7D looks really good on my ipad.
