Movie frame rates changing???

Post by BobFoster »

Just when video cameras and editing equipment acquired the ability to mimic film at 24P, the film industry is advancing into 48 fps to avoid the "look" that we have been trying to emulate.
Here's an article about the Hobbit film that was shot in 48 fps with demos showing the difference in frame rates.

I wouldn't get too worried about that, Bob.

48 fps will no more replace 24 fps than 3D will replace 2D.
