Where do I buy empty DVD spindles?

I could use as many 50x and 100x DVD cake-box type spindles as I can get my hands on. I've checked on eBay and Amazon, but even at a mere $2 a piece, once you add in shipping for a box of, say, 10 100x spindles, they get a little expensive. And I could use a large number of these things. Twenty or thirty 100x spindles would be great for what I'm doing.
Can anyone think of a place that might have these, where a guy could pop by, strike up a friendly conversation, and maybe make off with a number of these things for free? I don't have a video production house nearby ... that was obviously my first thought.
