Photo Transfer

Post by rone »

Avio using 4.1.d and Photo Transfer Version 1.6c

I am using a SanDisk 512 mb SD card and trying to import 17 photos at one second each. I am selecting "All" on the import screen and every thing starts out well. The first three photos import correctly then the system crashes. Upon restart the first three photos are on the story board but the remainding photos are missing. Repeating the process gives the same result. If I select and import one photo at a time then all is great. Sure is a long process though. Any idea why the system crashes when I select "All" during the import process

You are not really on SE 1.6c are you?!?

I don't even remember that one. ;)

Sounds like a personal glitch, but truthfully you are the first one I have ever heard had any success with a Sandisk flash drive with our systems.

Normally, they are not even recognized.

At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Tim,
The Photo-Transfer version is V1.6c.
The operating system is Version: 4.1d
What brand cards will work in my Cannon GL2 and Cassie? I will need to use the SD Memory Card type.
Thanks!

Ron most memory cards work ok in most systems. Tim said a flash drive which should be a pny or a Datatraveler works best. Tim must have had a senior moment :D

Dang, sorry Ron,

I obviously read that one on the fly, as I got the mixed the OS and PT versions and cards versus flash drives, sheesh.

Your problem is not the card as sandisk cards work fine, their flash drives don't work with our systems.

I think your issue is one of ram (Avio limitation) as I remember running into such crashes with the larger memory cards.

You might try seeing if a smaller capacity card gives you better results.

I think there are many on here with more experience with photo input experience than me though.

Hi:
This problem is nothing new. I had and saw this problem over a year ago and alerted the home office about. Josh saw it himself on his unit and told me it would be corrected in a future update. He also informed me that he was going to alert Germany.
STILL WAITING!!!
I found a work around by using a Kingston flash drive and using Photo Studio to move my pictures for my photo montages.
