hd 1080 down converter

Is there a capture card which will input 1080 and down convert to 720P which doesn't create artifacts. I am taping in 720 but occasional want to include some Go Pro 1080 or Phantom 4 1080 into a SD video. I am looking for something which will make my converted down 720 look as good or almost as good as if I had taped the original footage in 720.

Your 6000 will do this for you. Simply load the card into a 720 project. It will take a little longer than usual, but it works.

converting with the 6000 from HD to SD results with a nearly unexceptionable video. Same results using the Casablanca 4 studio. I don't expect 720 to look as good as 1080 but I would like for the converted 720 to look close to a original taped 720 scene. I have ordered a Magewell video capture dongle which is reported to deliver a sharp down converted SD video. Should know if it helps or not by tomorrow evening.
