I just used a Memorex DVD-R 16X in my Renommee Plus in Disk Transfer and it worked great. Maybe your burner is going bad.

John may be right, I'm not sure how old your editor is but DVD burners do wear out. It may be that the DVD drive needs a bit more time to recognize the DVD - either due to the DVD burner's age or due to the quality of the Memorex DVDs working with that aging DVD burner. Have you tried inserting the blank DVD at different points in your work flow and not touching anything (to give the editor more time to recognize the DVD) - maybe removing and re-inserting the blank after it hasn't been recognized?

You could also try a pro grade blank DVD-R and see if it works.

Try using an 8x or slower disc or a re-writable (as these are slower too).

You may have hit on it Michael! I never though of that the burner may not be able to handle the 16x.
