Font problems with titler

I must have some basic titler installed on my machine. As I have never installed a titler and "title studio" is listed as hidden under System. But I have noticed this on other machines with a titling program installed. On my system whenever I'm using certain fonts, (i.e. Cirrus EFN, Nissan, Jimmy, Benita EFN, and others) the lower case J, doesn't work. It gives a messed up looking J or some weird line. This is not the first time I've seen it. Anyone else? Is this just a glitch or what?

Give us the size of the font.

Any added adjustments like effects like color, shadows, bold etc.???

Position of the font...top middle lower line etc.

Lou,

It doesn't seem to matter what size font or what it's shadow, border, or color settings are. I type in a bunch of "Js" then change their font size, shadow and border settings, color, whatever. They all look the same. This is on my Karat. On my S-4000 Pro, it isn't a problem, in SD or HD. And it is set to the standard titler even though "Title Studio" is installed. It seems you have a possible suggestion on your mind?

SO to sum up, this is with the basic titler that comes with Bogart.

If you are still running Bogart v5 & v6 then it is the titler that 'came' with Bogart with Title Studio being a paid option.

With Bogart v8.? onwards we have had better titling and the paid option of Vertigo Titler.

I sometimes have better success, cleaner lines, with imported fonts and using the function 'smooth'.

Hi Chris,

You could try these things:

1) Try entering text using the mouse or trackball with the on-screen keyboard.

2) Try a different keyboard, maybe the one that is presently connected to your S-4000 Pro.

3) Check the User Settings in the Karat and make sure it is set to English US.

Chris,

Have you made any progress towards a solution to this problem?

Craig, so far I've only tried using the mouse keyboard. Clicking on the lower case j in those fonts I mentioned. Same problem. I haven't tried switching keyboards. But I will when I get a chance. It's interesting you mentioned that. When I received my Karat, I didn't like the keyboard as much as the one on my s-4000 pro so I switched them out since I use my Karat more. We'll see. thanks.

Also checked language settings. I had it on English, not English US. Unfortunately didn't help. Maybe I'll re boot. I don't know. Still chugging forward.
