What is a good stand alone machine to convert VHS to DVD ?

Currently the best solution would be the Analog->USB converter for your Saphir. ;)

Thank you so much for your reply for a stand alone conversion machine from DVD to VHS. I should have been more specific... I do convert my VHS tapes in my Saphir, but a friend wants to convert her own and has no machine. She is not a Casablanca user. I certainly appreciate you response.

Almost any of the Casablancas (with a DVD burner) will do what she wants.

Units like Kron & Prestige are reasonably cheap second-hand and are robust enough for this sort of job.

Spares may or may not be an issue as time moves on but in general these units are cheap enough to buy and run.
