I'm sill having a hard time getting this new editor set up.
Most of my video is sent on dvd discs. How would I transfer video from a dvd player to the Meteor 2. What cable goes where?
If anybody has experience with this editor, I would really appreciate your feedback.

Thanks, Gary

Hi Gary I think the only way you could Hook up to the media would be using the analog to USB converter that macro system selves I believe it’s $159 with the software code you can look at Joel Brooks instructional video that’s on YouTube online

That depends on what you want to do :?:
  • Simply make a copy of the DVD :?: Install the free ImgBurn software to store an 1:1 image of the DVD or Blu-ray. You can burn this image 1:1 on disc any time without any quality change or loss of menu. :P
  • Want the movie decoded from the DVD back into the Bogart Edit menu :?: DVD into Meteor², go to import, select the DVD drive and select the VTS_01_1, VTS_01_2, VTS_01_3... (not the _0) with the import setting "combine files to one scene". The second film would be VTS_02_1, VTS_02_2,... and should be imported separately. :P
No need to use any cables and loose more quality :!:

With the Meteor, Why not consider having them send you files through Drop Box or any other similar cloud based program? You're losing a LOT of quality ripping from a DVD. We also strongly recommend Wondershare Uni Converter (NOT the free version!), It's a great inexpensive software and maintains quality the best that we've found.
