Casablanca Unit: S2000 with all software. I also have a Prestige that I used on my film transfer station. I have B4W loaded on a laptop. I have a S4000 Pro that I am going to trade in for a discount on software for my B4W setup. I even have my first Cassie, the AVIO that I am going to hook up. Not sure what I will use it for but I want to see it run again.

S2000 Shuts down during video record

Post by MikeMattke »

I have tried feeding in video via the Front and Rear RCA inputs. During Record the unit powers down.

  • Does this happen directly after hitting the record button :?:
  • Is there one of those current versions in use: Bogart 5.26 / 6.22 / 7.20 / 8.17 / 9.12/ 10.6 / 11.3 or some outdated :?:
  • Project is set to SD 4:3 with interlace "on" :?:
Recording may break when there is empty space on the tape or when there are tape errors. Small ones should be caught, big ones may produce problems.
I would recommend to use the MediaManager / Film-Archiv / Opt to record analog footage.

No. It happens while recording is going on. Now the unit won't power up. Guessing power supply. Worked fine for a large project I finished. Just started acting up recently.

If the "beep" is missing upon startup, use the rear power switch at the power supply to shut off the S2000. Then unplug the power-cord and wait 3(!) hours. Plug in the power-cord and afterwards switch on the power on the rear. ;)

If this should not help... describe more detailed what the system does: beep yes/no (1x or multiple) :?: Display and/or TV showing (what) text :?: Any USB devices attached.. unplug all but Trackball :!:

Taking my unit in tomorrow to have power supply looked at. Suggestions for a replacement? If the Hard drive need replacing, any suggestions for brand, model of a 1-Terabyte?
