Going to answer my own question, first put said disc in drive change to MM select Archives then select (OPT) and you have a range of options number 2 is import from DVD which it does but can find no way to export to the Bogart side.

You should be able to use Archives (on the main menu) in Bogart to transfer the footage out of MM and into your project (check the films audio carefully after import).

Thanks Michael why you're browsing any reason when importing a Arabesk DVD in the Bogart side it only imports 23 minutes of a 27 minute film does the same in MM it's a NTSC disc but the 23 minutes plays no problem

Must have been a 2Gb / 4Gb file issue - thought that was to do with the format of the hard drive (as in FAT 32/ NTFS etc) so still not sure why "it" did that . . .

It was the internal drive of the 6k. How would i find out how that drive was formatted? and what should it be formatted as?

That's why I'm not sure of the actual issue - you normally get that on 'external' drives, didn't think the internal one would have that issue . . .
