Exporting/saving AVI or MP4?

Post by calypsomultimedia »

Bogart7.1 offers the options to save/export scenes or finished projects in AVI or MP4. While I can't personally see much difference in terms of image quality on either my computer screen or my tvs the AVI files are about twice the size of the MP4. In what situation/conditions would one choose to save the file in AVI rather than MP4?

Any advice very much appreciated.

Saving AVI would give you a much better file if you may want to do some re-editing to it. MP4s are great for sharing on the internet. That's my method.

Thanks Lou, yes I'm aware of that. Just wondering when one would choose one option over the other.
