Loading SD footage with FireWire on Studio Pro

I'm using Bogart 8 have tried different settings on the uploading into the Pro video looks okay but the audio sound horrible can't figure out why, anyone having same problem I'm coming in FireWire from a Sony camera onto the 4 Studio Pro.

The Firewire card is not all it should be. Importing from SD cards ... no problem. I've had success when importing SD using Roxio Easy VHS to DVD software/hardware unit. May be time to look into a card camera.

Thanks Beth I do have HD cameras that are smart card but I upgraded to Bogart 8 because this was supposed to resolve the problem with importing mini DV thruw FireWire,I'm sure their are more with this issue I have a lot of events filmed in DV film to be uploaded.

Sony camera Set to DOLBY 2. channel. Sometimes LPCM settings causes issues.....may be a shot in the dark..
