Thank you for all your comments Len...
Even if an SLR or S-series editor is not in the cards right now for you I invite you to join us on this webinar and see the workflow
and most important some of the misconceptions I have read about working with these cameras. They are being used everywhere now from hobbyists to Hollywood.
So people are finding ways to make it happen. All the so called _issues_ have become just a different way to work on productions for me.
Once you know how to handle them, it becomes second nature.

Cheers

This should be fun & informative. I will be more than happy to help out in anyway with questions or concerns anyone might have using these cameras or the workflow using Gen 3 machines.

In Part 2 tomorrow we will discuss how to get your HDLR files & your digital audio recorder files in our S-series editors. (and the limitations)

I will be open to answer any questions on how I approach a wedding shoot or corporate profile using HDSLR's

After 2 yrs of using SLR's I am just as excited today as I was then. I always want to be inspired to become a better producer regardless of the level I might be at.
The following is an incredible BTS look at a piece that premiered last night on Showtime produced by leaders & pioneers of producing digital storytelling with these amazing little cameras with magic lenses.
Stillmotion http://vimeo.com/stillmotionfilms does it again :) I am completely blown away by the quality of this production !!

I was asked during Chet Davis (The Casablanca Expert) 2 part webinar series on using HDSLR's with our editors what my wedding films looked like as oppose to just the Trailer.
The longer wedding films range between 12 & 20 minutes depending on how much compelling footage/audio is available from the day. I believe in longer is not necessarily better.
The client also gets everything shot during the whole day cleaned up in a documentary/reality show style look.
Here is an example of a of wedding film as oppose to the trailer.

We have a few members who have started using HDSLR's & thats exciting to see. If anyone else is interested and you have any questions on the work flow I will be glad to help.

Franklin amigo !! I was just about to write to you we signed a destination wedding for Dominican Republic close to where you live :) in late October details to follow.
24p in our editors does not look good to me when panning is involved just very strobe my opinion !! The audio is a fiasco everything is way out of synch... there is no setting in Bogart for 24p or 60p.
24p in FCP looks outstanding but honestly I prefer the look of 30p myself for wedding shoots.

De acuerdo con usted en el año 2012 debemos ser capaces de editar en 24p y 60p!
Voy a confirmar con usted en breve, pero será una de las estaciones más agradables en Punta Cana :)

Me & Caroline will be there for a week but we only work 2 days only so we should hook up for a beer !
