Hi Volker,
That looks wonderful! How did you do this effect? Did you do it with the Time Laspe mode on your Casablanca running in via firewire. I just bought a NEW Panasonic DVX 100b and I hooked it in via firewire to my S-4000 PRO. I am trying to do the STOP MOTION effects with Bogart 2.4C. It does not seem to work as it did on my Reno Plus. Maybe in NTSC land this function of Bogart is not done yet.
Beautiful shot.
Happy New Year Volker!

Hey Paris, I have 2 of the DVX100B's and they are great. Color is spectacular. What kind of application are you using them for? Volker the Sunset is beautiful. I too am interested in how you did it. Bob..

It looks like a straightforward tripod shot scene with Twixtor's Fast Motion applied.
Nice scene Volker, thanks for sharing.

Yes, Tim is right.
This was recorded straightforward using a small tripod.
The duration of a shot does not count today when the camera has a built in 240 GB harddrive
I used the standard "Quick Motion" effect (20x) to speed it up.
On Charles' Film Fest Discs of this year you can see a Quick Motion effect that shows a 40 second scene that originally was 4 hours long. Maybe I can upload that one too.

I was more impressed with this camera than most consumer or Prosumer HD cameras. I had just come off own a Sony VX-1000 camera for the last 12 years.
I use it to tape a weekly video sit down journal of my kid, my wife talking about her life that week for ten minutes. My goal when she graduates college is to give her a 100 disc box set of her life.
I also use it to mainly tape Family histories, capture as much as possible while the loved ones are alive.
I love the color, ease of use and the how professional it handles. My feeling is if I can't learn how to get an SD image to look right, why would I want to move onto an HD camera. More pixels is not going to save my image.

Yes, nice scene Volker! I especially liked how you choreographed the bird to enter about 1/3 the way thru and the fade out from the moon at the end as the song says, fade to black!

Oh, well. Youtube wanted me to exchange the "non-licensed" music. I knew it
No more "fade to black"...

Paris, I agree with you why go to HD with images like those cameras produce. I have 2 of them and when balanced on the same scene they are fabulous. I also have 2 Sony pd-170's and they too are good but the color with the panasonics are great. I find at times I have to tone them down a litle. I am in business, mostly stock car racing but I do a couple TV shows for broadcast in the Phillipines. I also do a little photography to help pay the bills. I started out in the late 70's with the family stuff, but all my kids are grown now and have kids of their own. The stuff I shot early on is a treasure. I didn't shooot nearly as much as it sounds like you do. Bob...
