Vote For Me Please!

Post by ChrisStone »

CNN has a viewer created news site on their website called "iReport" where average joes with video cameras upload their newsworthy footage. They recently had a video contest to create a 15 or 30 second promo for this site. I found out about this contest less than 24 hours before the entry deadline. I decided to make it a personal exercise for myself to come up with an idea, shoot it, edit it and make the deadline. That was hard for me because I will nit pic my work and keep trying to tweak it, and in this case I didnt have time. So it was a good exercise.

So... CNN picked the top 10 video's out of all the entries, and now they are to be voted on by the viewing audience much like our futurevision festival. I made the top ten!
I've included the link to the gallery and I'm listed as Christopher S from Sharpsburg GA.

My promo was edited on my Renommee + and shot with a Sony DSR-250 and a Sony PD-170

If you like it I'd be honored if you vote for me :D

Good work Chris! Just reviewed the spot and you've got my vote!!

I encourage all on the Forum to view this contest and vote... hopefully for your Casablanca colleague but for whom you are inclined to.

Congratulations Chris!

I watched them all and there are some darn good edits there.

I of course voted for yours despite the fourth talent seeming a bit weak. :P :D
My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Steve,

You are won of the luckiest son of a guns. . .

I voted and lost again today as you can vote once a day so I put it in my favorites for now.

I really liked your promo! I voted for it but didn't win the camera. That's OK. Like we say in Boston..."Vote early and vote often!" :D Hope you win!
