Re: Macrosystem DE Acquisition Announced

This morning on the Cassie Tips List - MSUS President Eric Kloor posted this message:
Greetings Cassie Community,

As you've read by now, Loewe has finalized acquiring a majority
interest in MSAG earlier this week. This is fantastic news for all
of us. We're quite excited about this for a number of reasons.
Allow me to explain some of them.

MSAG now has completely solid financial backing. The market cap for
Loewe is a respectable 120m+, they have plenty of cash on hand, and
their balance sheet is rock solid. This brings a certainty to the
continuation of our business as MSAG is now out of reorganization.

Also, Loewe is pushing Jorg to continue to generate revenue in the
video editing space. Any notion that we will abandon the Cassie is
simply wrong. In fact, there will be more developers hired, more
software created and enhanced, and some exciting new products are on
the drawing board.

Here's some background for you. Loewe is a publicly traded German
company that designs, manufactures and sells luxury HDTV flat screens
and audio systems. Their products feature great design and quality.
Loewe was founded in the 1920s, and many important innovations have
originated from the company. Manfred von Ardenne, one of the most
famous TV pioneers ever, developed the world's first home television
set for Loewe in 1933. This lead to the world's first TV broadcast
network, which was used to broadcast the 1936 Olympics in Berlin.

Loewe is the world's first TV manufacturer and has been in business for more
than 85 years. They stand for continuity and long-term strategic thinking.
We feel absolutely comfortable working under their patronage going
forward. They own a wealth of patents and licenses, amongst them
several that are of major importance for the MacroSystem editing
business. Here are two links to their website. Turn your volume
down for the spheros link, but this will give you a strong hit of
their design sense and panache.

Another major benefit is the Loewe production know-how. We've never
had a production plant, thus service manufacturers have been
contracted to build the Cassies in the past. This was quite
expensive, risky, and inflexible. Now all future Casablanca units
will be manufactured in our first-class Loewe plant, with the same
quality as the top $20,000 Loewe TV sets.

Loewe will ask MacroSystem to develop new technology and products in
the future, and most of them are equally important for the
entertainment line as well as our video editors. Given that the
final product of a video editing job will be played back with an
entertainment product and watched on a TV, well ... the two markets
are intertwined.

Loewe also has a top notch marketing division, which will help our
own marketing efforts with concepts, corporate design, and POS
material. This will boost our market presence over time. Their
products are made out of stunning brushed or polished aluminium and
heavy, shiny glass. MacroSystem now has access to the Loewe design
department, which will lead to even more beautiful Casablancas than
before. And please be patient with us, as this will take time to
implement.

And lastly, many of the advantages to us will only be realized over
time. I realize this is a bit nebulous, but in the next year or two
methinks we'll see great strides for our beloved editor in ways that
are now hard to envision.

Thank you, as always, for your patience, patronage, and goodwill.

Warmly,

Eric Kloor
