My friend has an HD camcorder that burns AVCHD or in some other weird format. He can watch the DVDs fine on his blu ray, but he did a few discs for his dad and they won't work on his blu ray. Can you burn these in a different format that is more likely to work on most blu ray players?
Thanks,
Jeff

Re: hd question
Industry wide incompatability with almost every editing HD software. Some Blu-ray players work...others do not. PlayStation 3 is awesome.

Re: hd question
Just a thought - does his Dad's BD Player list AVCHD as one of it's formats ?
It's not conclusive if it does but if it doesn't actually say 'AVCHD' on it then it's not likely to work as Blu Ray files and AVCHD files aren't actually the same animal.
