My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.
Hooray! After 2 years of grumbling about lack of audio support it is getting recognized....at least by the board members.
I know a few WEVA judges and questioned them about their rejecting entries in the excellence competition. The number one failure of shooters/editors is poor audio.
The current issue of TV Technology (20 August 2008) has an article on editing. In part the article says:
"Ears don't blink. Unlike our visual acuity, audio perception is continuous. Is it any wonder that
most editors consider the soundtrack to be the dominent asset that drives their communication"?\
We don't need more transitions. WE do need good, dependable tools for creating better audio.
PS - it would also be nice to have refined conor control - especially for flesh tones.
