- Casablanca Unit: S2000 with all software. I also have a Prestige that I used on my film transfer station. I have B4W loaded on a laptop. I have a S4000 Pro that I am going to trade in for a discount on software for my B4W setup. I even have my first Cassie, the AVIO that I am going to hook up. Not sure what I will use it for but I want to see it run again.

I noticed that Beachy hasn't posted in almost 2 months. Does anyone know if he is okay. I miss his sense of humor and witty posts.

Beachy is fine and kicking, he emails me most days with his witticisms and the like.
I’m sure he wont mind me telling you, that he feels the BB has changed and that the family atmosphere is not quite the same as it used to be. I know what he means, but I suppose it is inevitable that as the technology progresses, it is bound to reshape.
You may also have noticed there are a few others, Condo for instance, who I believe for the same reasons, no longer contribute.
I do agree with you though, I miss his wit and sarcasm, although as I said, I still get most of this though other means. He never misses the opportunity to have a go at my beloved county of Yorkshire. These UK southerners are all the same, they think they will fall off the edge of the world when they venture past Watford, that’s about 50miles north of London.
Whilst this BB has changed and has become a valuable tool in providing a shared knowledge of our chosen editing system, I do think there is still a place for the none technical element.
Like you I miss John’s (Beachy) wit and sarcasm.
Ian
PS His Avisorus continues to flourish although I believe he has had to have the flints renewed.

I am one of the fortunate ones who hear from him daily. He is just as sharp and witty as ever. Of course I get the chance to trade wits with him on occasion, we constantly try to outdo one another.

Re: Beachy
Maybe we need another category titled, "Thoughts" or "Socializing". That would fit nicely with the other ones that deal with technical issues, equipment for sale, upcoming workshops and other news.
See, I knew at least one person would agree with me and a fellow German at that. Although, I am only half German.

I miss Beachy too. Anytime I would see his post, I always looked at it first. I knew it would crack me up. I'm still laughing over his story of his need not to purchase a GPS device as his old system his "wifeagon" or something never failed him. Let him know how fast he was going which roads to take. when to turn left ETC.
Come on back Beachy. WE miss you.

Re: Beachy
Well I don't miss Beachy!
Of course that is because we still converse often, in fact I received four e-mail sendings from him today alone.
He has so many questions. LOL
There is always room on the BB for more bantering and leg pulling.
It isn't like we pay by the word on here.

My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Re: Beachy
I to receive regular e-mails from Beachy but miss his banter on here pulling a members leg. Another forum i'm on had a similar member and they came up with the category " Chatter" anything went as long as no self advertising and a liberal use of common sense.

Re: Beachy
How about a section called: "CASSIE CAFE" where users converse on non-cassie issues?
