I don't know if our Cassie Community members know about converting RAWs file to DNG files.
The reason to do this is that as camera manufacturers change their RAW formats, Adobe may stop supporting them and you will not be able to open them in Photoshop, Lightroom or many of the other photo editing programs.

DNG stands for Digital Negative which is a universal format that can be opened by all programs.

Adobe offers free converters which can be used to do batch conversion of your RAW files from the many different camera manufacturers. Below are the links to Adobe's free downloads for the DNG converters. Simply click on the link for your type of computer:
