Shrink Wrap Value?

Who all are shrink wrapping their DVD library cases and jewel cases? I have been doing this for 13 years now and receive positive feedback about how "professional" it makes the product look. The cost is low, about $.25 per unit if you figure your time, expendables, and machine depreciation. A commercial unit cost about $450 and lasted for 12 years. The heat guns last about 4 years. I have even had local video production companies contract for this service for their re-sale DVDs. Just thought I would pass this tip along and see who else is doing it.

Hello Bob,

I agree that shrink-wrapped packages do add perceived value and professionalism.

My Casablanca Foolproof Tutorial DVDs are sent shrink-wrapped (though I don't do it myself - it's done as part of my duplication/printing fulfillment through CAM Audio).

I have been using http://www.supermediastore.com/product/ ... -cases-100 for several years with total satisfaction.

Tim, I went to the link you provided and it looks like these are more like snug fitting bags and not shrink wrap. Is this correct?

Correct.

They are a nice presentation option in my opinion that adds a perceived value for very little extra cost.
