MSUS Personal Information Update
When first logging onto the Casablanca Forum, there are certain sections that must be filled to join the group. However, for the group to be able to provide assistance, it is often necessary to know certain information about what Casablanca unit you have, operating system and program software. Also members location can be important, so that we know if we are dealing with the NTSC or PAL systems.
The use of a real name in the signature box has made this a very friendly site over the years, the use of a first name helps build up a Casablanca user family . Again this is by no means mandatory and no one will ever be ignored if they choose not to supply this information.
When registering you will have supplied a log on name, some have used real names, but many have not. This log on name cannot be changed, unless re-registering under a new email address, however real names can be included in the signature box and will be displayed, along with any other information, similar to mine below.
Forum members who wish to update their detail can do so as follows.
At the upper left of any page, under the page title, there is a line named “User Control Panel”. Clicking this will bring up your personal detail, starting with your profile, which you will have entered at the registration stage. Click the tab called “Profile” and there will be some options in the left hand column, as follows.
1. “Edit Profile” allows you to enter some detail, like your web site if you have one, location (town, state and country are what most people enter), occupation, interest and finally some detail on the Casablanca unit you are using.
The information in this section will not be displayed, but other members can look at this profile by clicking on your user name on any of your postings or from the membership listing.
2. “Edit Signature”, this is the detail which will be shown every time you post on the site, see mine at the bottom on this posting. There is a limit of 255 characters in this box, but your name and any other quick reference can be placed here.
