Hi All,
Just an info.
Yesterday I had the chance to compare same recorded shots of those cams.
I added same length shots of both cams to the storyboard of my S-4000Pro.
Nothing spectacular in my observation that knocked me from my chair. :o
Colors of Sony HC3 more natural than Canon HV30.
Pictures of HV30 are brighter but contain irratating "MOAREE" in some
parts of the image. :(
HV30 may have a wee bit better resolution than HC3 ;)
I will stay with my HC3.

They are both excellent cameras with the Canon being more sharp due to the canon lens. The HV-30 has a CUSTOM MODE in which the user can adjust contrast, saturation and sharpness. There are other modes as well such as NEUTRAL and VIVID etc. in the HV-30 menu.

Thanks Lou,
should have known the facts earlier to experiment.
But just had a very short time for testing.
