The easy answer. Yes, with DV tape out and in on second HD. Scene bin extras can be added to the end of the storyboard if they need to come along.

I see from your profile that you have a Renommee and Avio pro. If your Avio has firewire you can go from either unit back and forth. I do this all the time. This way it is from one hard drive to another and back again with little or no loss. Also you do not have to worry about tape problems. Give it a try. Now the only thing have to do is auto split the imported project and put it back all the scenes on the story board. Then when you move them back to another harddrive you still have the auto split. With os8 it will ask you if you want it in the scene bin and the story board too. Other os. you may have to use power key to put the scenes back on the story board in one group by pushing 3 or 4 kays. Give this a try
