Force eject
Need to know how to do a force eject on my s4000Pro.

On the S4000/S4000PRO (not the S2000 or S4100), simply power down (force power down if necessary, pressing both the Power & OK buttons on front panel).
Connect keyboard if not already attached, and turn power back on -- when booting back-up, press 'Esc' on your keyboard. This should open the DVD tray.

To be a tad more specific or emphasizing, you should depress and hold the Esc key on the keypad (upper left corner) until the drawer ejects part-way through the power up sequence.
My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.

I don't suppose anyone remembers when the 'new' command (using the ESC key) came into our system for the S4000 ?
i.e. Which version of the Bogart . . .

Don't worry - just installed v2.4c and it works with that, which is what I wanted to know.

My understanding is it was there from the beginning, we just were not aware of it.
