Hello,

You didn't mention if you synced up the three videos before you started to use Quad Cam to do the edit? Once that's been done, then Quad-Cam does a beautiful job of staying in sync.

I set each camera to a flash and made each scene the same length. It seems that two are together but one is off. You cant tell till you get 3/4 through then the differance is noticable. The scene is 35 min long. II just used 2 cameras and I seemed fine.

I use quad cam all the time. I have a Solitaire Plus. I sync the scenes up to a certain spot and make the lengths equal (just like you did). I then split each scene into 5 minute segments (which are much easier with which to work ) and then quad cam the 5 minute segments. When you put them together in the story board, they go together seamlessly. This way, you can tell right away (at least in 5 minutes) if you are out of sync with any segment. If one of them suddenly doesn't fit right, don't change the starting point on all three segments, you'll be able to tell which camera is off. Adjust only that segment. Add or subtract footage till it is synced up again with the other two.

Did you auto split the footage? I found that if a camera is shut off for even an instant, it messes up the sync. I wonder if one of the cameras was inadvertently shut off. Auto split should pick that up.

In PAL land, S4000Pro I have found a big problem Bogart3.2E with frames missed when loading footage!
I sync my 3 scenes cut to identical length but loose sync with quadcam.
Using Panasonic DV2000 to load tapes to casablanca.
Experimentaion has shown that when I use my Prestige, the same 3 tapes, no problems with sync!

I experimented further, three 60 minute tapes, synced to clicker start and finish, trimmed to sync points but all 3 scenes ended up different lenghts! 22 frames difference between shortest and longest. Frames dropped on capture???
Reloaded same three tapes, 8 frames difference but at different points!
Makes Quadcam almost useless on my S4000Pro!

I have a Prestige and SE 7 on my system. I haven't had any audio snyc issues with 4 cam edits or 3. I don't use their auto sync feature thing, but instead, I do a quick snap count to 4 (spiking my voice on 4) with all the cameras near me; I've done this since day one and the only downside, is I do burn about 5 minutes of tape, but no biggie. I use Panasonic 63 min. tapes all the time.

Hi All

It is the Bogart 3.2 operating system that is te problem.
I mentioned it straight away when this OS came out to MS Germany with the reply that it was a tape problem.
I was using the tapes to many times. After stuffing around for over 15 hours by reloading
software and reloading footage I gave up and went back to 2.4 who I have had no problem with.
When in doubt RUN a auto split over the footage and even if it was filmed in one shot it will
come up with some cuts. This is useless if you want to use Quadcam as everything will be out of sync.

I am not happy that I paid for an upgrade that I can't use but I have rather that then spending to
much time on a project if I don't have to. So for the last 9 months I am just using the reliable Bogart 2.4.

PS. 3.2 has burning problems too.

BTW. The auto sync option has been dropped in the Bogart version of Quadcam
