Newbe Questions
1. I have Phot studio 2, and when I transfer my photo from my computer to my Renommee Plus with a USB drive it is not working now. Am I doing something wrong? It has worked well in the past. When I put the USB drive into the USB Port nothing happens, can comeone please help. I have tried to copy my photos to a CD and also to a DVD but nothing seems to be working. Please assist.
2. I use a HP Scanner G4050 to copy my photos to my computer the to my USB Drive.
Can I attach my scanner directly to my Renommee Plus instead of my computer?
3. The only thing that is connected to my Renommee Plus are my monitor's and a Zenith DVD Recorder Video Cassette Recorder XBA716
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

PS: Unfortunatley I have not been able to work on with my system due to many unfortunate surgeries on my foot in the past 2 years.

If you recently reformatted the hard drive in your editor remember that you have to reactivate all of the software that you own including the Card Reader Software.
Scanners will not work directly with Generation 2 editors including yours.
To work in a Casablanca editor, the pictures you scan in your PC must be saved as Color JPEGs, but I don't know how many bits. I looked in the Photo Studio 2 manual and didn't see a reference to it.
You can try to search through the posts in the forum (look for the box in the upper right hand corner of the page). Little bits of knowledge that never got written into user manuals get carried from someone's memory to a post; and the posts can be hard to search through. If your search terms don't match the wording in the older posts that contain the information you might not find what you're looking for. It's a shame that MacroSystem chooses not to improve the documentation on their software.
The best way to easily find the information you're looking for is to go to the Casablanca Expert website owned and operated by Chet Davis. http://www.casablancaexpert.com/ Chet is a great teacher and he collects, organizes, and presents an incredible amount of information on using Casablanca editors and video production. Some if it is free and some of it requires you become a member for a very low monthly amount. Members who enjoy access to all archived tutorials and webinars, including myself, would tell you this is the way to go. He has created a number of very thorough tutorial DVDs including one on Photo Studio 2. When you go to his website just look at the tab labeled Tutorial DVDs.
If you can go, there's Jim Meeker's annual March Get Together next month in Davenport, Iowa. Like Chet's website above, there's so much that you get out of attending that I'll just send you to the website http://www.marchgettogether.com/ and let you see for yourself. Past attendees, including myself, rave about them. It's a great way to immerse yourself in the world of what's possible with Casablanca editors, meet great people, and have a great time.
I know you've been out of the loop for a while. If you want to get up to speed fast with your editing, both of the above are safe bets to help get you there.
