Hello friends,
did anyone edit an HD project with QuadCam in BogartSE?
I am asking because this fall I am going to shoot a 90minute concert using 4 HD cameras.
And, of course, I want to edit this project with QuadCam on my Bogart system.
So, be honest, did anyone do this before and what issues (minor and major) do I have to deal with?
I don't want to buy a Sony Vegas system, do I?
One problem could be that the AVCHD camera splits the longer takes into 4 GB portions and you will notice the "split points".
Thanks for your input!
Volker

Re: QuadCam and 4 HD video streams ?!
Hi Volker
I haven't shot or edited in HD when using quadcam but I shoot in stil in DV and found when
using Bogart 3.2 some thing it drops frames and splits the full lenght shoot in scenes.
This ofcourse means they run out of sinc some time and ranging the cuts takes alot of time.
I have gone back to 2.4 and haven't hadn't had any problems with it.
You might want to have a test run before going in the deep end.
This is my two cents worth.

Re: QuadCam and 4 HD video streams ?!
Volker,
QuadCam does not work in HD at this time. Hopefully, Bogart 4 will address this. If you downconvert to SD, then it works great. This is an ongoing issue that MS is looking into. For now, I manually insert the cuttaway shots of the other cams. Time consuming, but it works.
