I have a project that I want to firewire out to a Mac. I connected the firewire up to the mac using a female to female adapter as the apple has a larger firewire on the computer input side.
I started imove and the Apple did not see the 4000. I went out finish and hit play and still the apple did not see the 4000k. Any Idea as why it dosn't see the storyboard?

Re: How to firewire out
To my knowledge MS has never succeeded in making the Bogart units firewire compatible with the PC or Mac.
My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Re: How to firewire out
Hi Bill
You have to go throught Media Manager and save it to a USB stick (if you can and the project isn't to big)
Just bought a Mac book Pro and I can't fire wire my footage in by using any of my camera's as they
changed it to a 8 pin fire wire connection and it is not suported. Maybe if you have the 6 pin you could try to go back to tape and
then fire wire in the Mac. I don't know if thet works but I would give it a try by connecting the camera to your Mac.

Re: How to firewire out
I found using Project back up with both SD and HD footage to a USB stick was more reliable than using Media Manager for that.
