My S-2000 froze during use and now boots to a grey screen.
3.6c OS
HDMI output
At first I thought it was a display mode problem, but not sure now.
Have tired:
1. Using alternative output modes:Svideo, RCA
2. Tired holding down the right mouse button to change display modes - no luck. Stays on Macrosystem
3. CD tray does not open. Had to use the flashdrive method to open it.
4. Reinstalled OS 3.6. (Over the top)
5. Waited overnight.
It acts like it is fully booted up, but has a grey screen. Tried moving the mouse around the screen (blind) and clicking to see if anything would happen. Nothing.

Re: S-2000 boot issue
Another note:
I have noticed that the S-2000 is not fully booting.
The screen on the front stops at MACRO>>>SYSTEM. (In capitals with some bars in the center)
When fully booting my other machines say Macrosysyem. All lower case.

Re: S-2000 boot issue
I have had this problem for a long time. Sometimes it fires up as soon as I push the "on" button. Other times it fires up as soon as I power up the unit. But mostly, I have to force power off, and restart several times before it will work. I just live with it, because no one has an answer to what it wrong. I was told to reseat all the circuit boards. When I install the BluRay player and have the unit opened up I will reseat the circuit boards
