JPG pictures from Video scenes

Post by Macromax »

Back when I owned a Solitaire I had Photo Transfer and I could get JPG pictures out of a project from video and stills into a video project. These days on the S4000 with Bogart, getting stills into a project one can use Media Manager, but I cannot find a way of getting stills out of a Video scene. Is there a way? Or what program do I need?

Hello!

You still can use Photo Transfer for this purpose.
OR, since you are using Bogart SE4, you can simply use the OPT button in the edit window. Then click on "Export picture to archives".
OR use the RANGE button in the edit window and press on the small camera icon after selecting the right frame.

Best regards,
Volker

If I may add: Your best stills are those video frames that are HD projects due to the resolution and file size. When using Photo Transfer for the purpose of exporting HD frames to a flash drive, WAIT one minute after the process STOPS. It takes this amount of time to buffer. I found this out the hard way after exporting numerous HD clips and pulling the USB FLASH stick out prematurely, thinking the process was complete.

You can also import these clips to PhotoShop and make adjustment. There is a menu area that allows for video clips and knocks out the progressive look. ALSO....you will have to adjust the gamma/brightness and color saturation just a bit when exporting HD clips.
