"S"4000 Tip: External HD Discovery for DUAL systems

Post by LouBruno »

For those of you who are running both the "S"4000 and another unit here is a good tip for saving your projects:

If you own an external HD with both FIREWIRE and a USB PORT such as a LACIE, you can attach the "S"4K and your other MS editing system to ONE external drive.

Simply place the USB port from the "S"4K into the USB port of the external HD.

Now, place the firewire input from your other editing system into the SAME external drive.

You can save SD projects and even MTS projects from your "S"4K and save your SD projects from your other system all on a single external drive.

You can even transfer projects from one computer to the other into the project window(s).
