Hello fellow Cassie users,
is anyone of you using the Panasonic GH2 camera?
I got this beauty now and I already updated the firmware.
Are there any recommended camera settings that I should take care of if I intend to edit this footage with the Bogart editing suite?
Best regards,
Volker

You should be fine with firmware version 1. 1. Are you referring to the scene settings? I am not a big fan of 24p. I would use 30p.

Re: Panasonic GH2 anyone?
Hi Lou,
I "hacked" the firmware now to get these very high data rates for AVCHD encoding. The images look very good.
I plan to shoot in 1080i mode as usual. The Bogart software somehow seems to be optimized for interlaced formats.
The camera offers so many settings. I have to learn a lot now but it will be worth it.
I am wondering why this camera has not been mentioned here before. It is such a beauty.
all the best,
Volker

Actually, it is VERY POPULAR among my Panasonic community. Some say the video is better than the AG AC-90. I think there is another version of the HDSLR now.
