Camera comparison

Post by Alan »

Hi Folks,

I have a panasonic HCX920 which I anm delighted with. It is a fiddle though to use in manual mode. I'm tempted by the AG-AC90 for its manual controls, but it appears to have a smaller sensor 1/4.7 against 1/2.3. Would I be getting nice manual controls at the expense of video quality? Particularly in low light. There do not seem to be any good rewiews out there. So what do you think?

Cheers, Alan in the UK.

Best way would be to do a hands on comparison if you can find one in stock not too far away. The specs would indicate a big difference in low light situations. Lou might have some 1st hand information.

I sold this camera. It has no DOF because of the size of the chip. In bright light, it s awesome but in low light, a noise reduction circuit makes the picture too soft. It is also touch screen driven :-(

I am sticking with my Panasonic AG AC -130 three chip camera and my new Canon
HF G30.
