Both can be mixed. You can convert the interlace to progressive provided 30fps. usevmovie mode. Can not change progressive to interlace.

Re: 1080i and 1080p
I usually shoot 1080i 60 fps on my Canon xlh1 but I just got a quad copter with a 1080p that shoots in 1080p 30fps so should I set the canon to 1080i 30fps then convert it to 1080p 30fps before starting the project? And where is this movie mode located? Thanks Lou
