Does anyone know what this means?
Transferring some 8mm footage (film) into my S-4000Pro today and something was happening I'd never noticed before. I'm capturing the image in a reflective box with my DV camera and inputting with the fire wire. When I press the record button on the cassie, it starts recording and there is the letter L in between the box with the future name of the clip and the time code in the record window. After about 2 seconds, the time code stops, the letter changes to a "P" and then the time code starts over again from zero. I have the camera set at 24 frames though the cassie is set at 60i. The clips are playing and recording just fine. but what is the deal with the starting and stopping of the recording and these letters? Anyone know about or seen this before?

to be more specific, the "L" changes to a "P" after 1 sec 23 frames. Did it on all 16 reels everytime.
