Photo Transfer and PS 2

Post by BillRoth »

Hi, I Have an import situation with my Prestige SE 4.1d. When I use an older SD-MMC card my images import into both programs. However, when I use a SDHC Class 2 or 4 with 4gb the reader does not see the card. Older style SD card are a little harder to find. Any suggestions Thanks, Bill 8-)

Hi Bill,

I think you may need to have the Card Reader software program loaded on your editor. It used to be free and included on the add-on software discs that they used to send us. I would contact a dealer to try to get a copy for the your Prestige if you don't already have it lying around somewhere. You can also use a thumb drive; I've used an older 2GB PNY Attaché.

Bearing in mind that you have already been able to use cards then I'd assume that you already have Card Reader software (v1.3), sometimes called '6 in 1' too, loaded.

It might be worth checking (insert and find card on a PC and right click, then properties) what format the "old" cards and "new" ones are formatted in.

You might find the older ones are FAT16 and the newer ones FAT32 ? Although this might not be the issue it is worth checking just in case it is as then it's an easy fix :D

As for USB thumb drives the (smaller) PNY and Kingston brands have always, for some reason, been the more successful ones
