Problem with Backup Copy

This is a call back to an issue from the old forum. I was creating and embedding titles into a musical performance. The process outlined in the old forum was working, and I would copy the storyboard as I worked to create a backup. But then I had to put that project on the back burner. Now I have some time to return to that project. But now when I copy the storyboard, the backup that appears in the scene bin does not have the embedded titles in them. I can play the storyboard and see the titles, but when I perform the backup the titles disappear. This is the link to the original thread on the old forum:

That thread (from the Old Forum) dealt with the question of adding sub-titles. It sounds like the question/issue you ask today is about the Storyooard Archive/Restore capability?

It sounds like you have done the Storyboard Back-up using the 'DV Backup' mode - is this correct?
This mode allows you to backup /retain the specific title effect but not the actual text itself.

If you want/need the text to be archived and restored - you have 3 choices:
1. create a scene of those scenes where you are satisfied with the titling and replace this new Scene with the old one - this will make a 'composite' of your video scene and the text/title effect together. Then use the DV Mode to archive/back-up

2. If you are satisfied with the entire storyboard, with titles, transitions, etc - you can use the 'DV' mode to complete a storyboard back-up. This preserves all storyboard components, but in once single scene (great for loss-less, compression free back-ups but not useful if you wish/need to do further work on that project (without splitting, etc).

3. You can use the Archive function in the Title Menu to archive the text, complete with attributes, position, etc and re-insert that over your previously archived storyboard (the same storyboard in your post that began this thread).

Maybe I didn't explain my situation correctly. After embedding several titles into the clip on the storyboard, I used the Copy function to save the clip back to the Scene Bin. That Backup clip in the Scene Bin served as my safety in case I made an embedding mistake on the Storyboard. Like occassionally saving a long document. I was about 5 minutes into the 55 minute clip when I had to stop and work on other projects. Now I have returned to it - using the same process to inbed lines of text into the clip. I can play the clip and see the text. But when I perform the Copy funtion, the clip that is placed in the Scene Bin does not have any of the text. I have not made any changes in the settings on the Solitaire.

I also remembered that I had posted this previously. I continue to encounter this problem:

I had tried to avoid using the method of splitting the clips and adding titles to each clip because there would be so many in a 55 minute program. But because of the time I have spent trying to overcome these other problems I think I may just start all over again with the Split process. I would like to understand what was going on just to educate myself on how the system behaves in these situations.
