compatibility with Renommee/Prestige
Hi guys. I have two Renommees and two Prestiges. Can I download directly to my editors from a Canon XF 300 camcorder? It shoots on CF cards. But it can output mpeg-2. Is this mpeg-2 output the same as a mpeg-2 file from a miniDV camcorder? Thanks for any thoughts you guys can give me.

Re: compatibility with Renommee/Prestige
A Canon Professional Camcorder with ancient 19-15 year old editing systems won't fit
So if you just have SmartEdit systems... download the BogartSE software to your PC and do the editing there. Free test/demo version for Windows 10: https://macromotion.info/version-en
- A Prestige from 2001 can only record from analog or DV/HDV.
- A Renommee/Plus from 2006 with SmartEdit editing software is limited to analog + DV/HDV as well.
- A Renommee/Plus ULTRA from 2008 (with DVI on the back) uses the BogartSE editing software, capable of importing footage via USB up to 1920x1080p60.

Thank you mhuebmer. I appriciate you taking the time to educate me. ANCIENT editing systems? They belong to this century. S.H.I.E.L.D. Really! Thanks again. Have a good day.
