I am building a collage for a memorial and I have 2 pictures that I have scaned and my Renommee doesn't reconize them. It keeps telling me there are no photos on this disc. I have burned them twice and still won't work. The pics are JPEG and the other 60 are too and they went in ok. I have tryed every thing in my arsenal. Help! Bob...

Re: HELP!
Were these two photos either!
1 .psd files (photoshop files) or adjusted/manipulated in any photo type software -- or
2. black and white images (mono-chrome) saved as other than RGB (Color) files?
Either of these instances will not be recognized by PS2.
Regards,
Chet

Re: HELP!
Hi Chet, No they are both color. One is about 40 years old but an original. the other is an 8x10 I sold them of their sons soccer team and the deceased is the coach. I scaned them both as a JPEG as I did the other 60 that went in without a hitch. I thought about reducing the sixe but 1 is 46KB and the 8x10 is 348 KB.
I resized them all except the 8x10's they went in as they were. I just can't figure it out. I told the customer and she's ok with it so if push comes to shove I'll leave them out. I am done except I have 36 seconds at the end with no music. She brought me 2 songs. If I'd had a half of a brain I'd of had her leave 3 just in case. Would it be hokey to put 36 seconds of the first song on the last. I need a song strecher. LOL! thanks for your help. Bob...

Re: HELP!
Hello,
You can easily stretch a song by identifying where the phrases are and particularly, where they start and stop. If you need more time for a song to cover a set of photos, just repeat a phrase in the middle that is in the same key and not one side or the other leading into or out of the bridge to a different key in the music. If you are wondering how to identify these key changes that you need to stay away from......even the tone deaf can tell when the "Key" that the music is written in changes. These changes are called "Bridges" and when you pay attention you can really begin to hear the changes. The next step is to pay attention to the start and end of each Phrase of the music. These phrases make up the points at which it is safe to add or subtract time from a song. With the exception of musicians and composers.......most folks will not know that something has been altered.
Just take the song and record it into your Cassie and then practice splitting the song into all of its natural "Phrases" This is just like splitting video and then leaving some scenes out and adding some in more than once.
If you need to shorten a song for a shorter set of photos, merely find a phrase that is about the length you need to cut out and remove it. Always do the adding or removing at the ends or beginnings of musical phrases. You can add or remove more than one at a time after you practice a little.
This is essentially what the automatic software programs do for you. Here you are doing it for yourself and it doesn't cost anything.
Try it. It's actually easier than it sounds and can save a project when you have to get it done and you don't have time to wait for a program to arrive....get installed and the time to learn how it works.

Re: HELP!
Durn Jim, my brain is burning trying to clamp onto all you just said. I need to hold one end of the song and pull the other end. Now thats stretching it. I will try what you said when I get a minute. I am probably what you called tone deaf. I have been in this business 25 years and sound has always been to hardest part for me. I am a 1 man band for the most part. My wife helps with a camera once in a while and I have another camera man that works with me on the week ends. Other than that I am it. I answer the phone, clean the toilet and some times have time to work. I have a piece rendering now so I am on standby.
I wish I could afford another Renommee so I could work on another project when I am rendering another. I have to work my butt off right now. I don't turn anything away. I have crew of guys putting a roof on my house and that is coating a small fortune. Almost what I paid for my first house. Thanks Bob...
PS: I remedied the short song. I put guitar music on the intro and again on the trailer and it worked perfectly.
