ONE GLARING OVERSIGHT in the setup process for PS 1 or 2 is that the user needs to set up a project in the main area and give it a name if it is going to be a video project, so the pictures, collages and animations will have a project to go to. Otherwise, the system is just going to stash them in the scene bin of the last project worked on before the Cassie was last turned off! This was not mentioned in the video tutorial DVD's,. but needs to be in any new ones that get made. I really hope you will make all new tutorials, current at least to SE7, if not 8. I have 7, and don't yet have a compelling reason to upgrade yet. BTW, there is no "create scene" button for the animations, they just got automatically loaded into the scene bin.

Hello Jim,

Maybe it's a matter of perspective -- to get into Photo Studio 1 or 2 you _must_ launch the program from the Special button of the Edit screen from the project you are in. You cannot get into Photo Studio without going into a project first -- so by default you have/are in a project.

And frankly the Operating System does not modify the menu of Photo Studio 2 -- it looks/operates the same whether you are on Smart Edit 4 or Smart Edit 8, so I don't frankly think there is a need for a redux of the Video Manuals -- however, I am planning in my new enterprise to produce a more thorough Video Tutorial on Photo Studio 2. I think it is a great program with many capabilities a lot of folks are not aware of.

Lastly, when you are in the Animate screen of Photo Studio 2 - you have the option of either clicking on the playback button (to preview the animation) or to click on the 'Create' button which does render the effect and then sends it to the Scene Bin as video resolution.

Hope that helps!

Regards,
Chet

The reason for new tutorial videos involves only some of them. There are options on my SE7 screen in some cases that are not mentioned in the video because they were added since it was made, so I have no idea of how to work with them. Some of the options have been switched to another location than what the video shows, so I am left with having to search for it on my own. The whole series needs a look to see that all the options and actions are current to the latest OS. Some may be able to be left alone, but some need updating in these areas.
