Alan,

Michael is right about it being a common texting abbreviation for laughing out loud or any of the variations (Laugh out Loud, Lots of Laughs).

Not disputing the love version, but I have absolutely never heard that one before now.

XOXOXO meaning hugs and kisses is usually used for the "love" abbreviation in my experience.

Just to be clear, I will always use it for the laughing out loud meaning so no one get all warm and cuddly feeling when I use it, eh? LOL
