Quadcam jumping footage

Hi all
I have used the Quadcam only once before on the Pro and all went fine. I tried to use it again today and the footage in the preview screens has a delay in it like having a strobe (Jitter) effect on it after a minute or so into the footage. There is no way you can make accurate cuts like this since the delay is about 4/5 sec and you will always be too late to make the switch. I will have to spend a lot of time to fix up the cuts and that is not the right way to go. I just can't believe that a machine which is so much more powerful than my old Avio does such a poor job. My old machine did a much better job to keep up with the footage than this one. By the way it is just standard DV footage - wouldn't like to see how it goes with HDV footage.
Has anyone else had similar problems and know how to fix this problem?

I'm having a BIG dropped frames problem. I think the Pro has a problem.

jeanton I tried to use quad cam but it went out of sync about 5 min. into project. Also like you said the pictures freezes so you cannot tell when you want to switch. Like I said before if I use SVHS input the footage looks terrible but the quad cam is better. Hopefully these will be taken care of with the new upgrade because my 4000 just sits on my rack now.

I imagine the code writers in Germany are VERY busy people right now.

Jeanton:
I dont own the 4K Pro I am still using a Prestige, but I have experienced the picture of either the background or the Inserts freezing as you say. The running time code also hesitates periodically, and I usually am editing to the time code instead of the video itself. Anyway I found that in my case I was using a two Monitor system. VGA and TV Monitor. When I switched to using the TV Monitor only, my problem cleared up. This was using one of the older SE OS. I dont remember which, but some programs run better using only the original TV Monitor. If you are using a two monitor setup, I would try going to just the TV Monitor and see if it helps.
One other thing while I am thinking of it. Be sure you dont "Park" your cursor over the windows. I have heard that it can cause some flakiness. I havent experienced that problem myself.

Hi
Did another wedding this weekend and had no problem with the Quadcam software it worked how it suppose to work. The only thing different than last week was that I loaded the footage into the Pro with one and the same camera even though the footage was taken on the two extra cameras. I loaded it in with the camera that shot the background clip. I tried that last week as well after it stuffed up with no success. Don’t know if this is the magic solution but I thought I share this with you all.
Hi Bob I use a one monitor setup and about the cursor “parking “ on the screen I had that too with my old Avio but the footage still moved on some how. In the Pro we get just a thumbnail of the screen for 5 sec it doesn’t even move.
Everybody thanks for your reply all your help is welcome.
