DESHAKER-TIP FOR SAVING

A special thanks to Joerg who explained the use of DESHAKER.

NOTE: I used DESHAKER to balance out some minor camera movment in TWIXTOR and worked fine.

PROCEDURE FOR SCENE WITH COMMON MINIMAL SHAKING AND FASTEST CORRECTION:

.5 second scene with minimal shaking

.DESHAKER opened and set to the following:

DETECTION>Good

CORRECTION>STANDARD

BORDER CORRECTION> RECONSTRUCTION

DESHAKING>MEDIUM

RESULTS: Did stop the slight shaking and almost looks as if a camera stabilizer was turned-on when comparing the affected scene to the original.

If any of the above are changed to a higher setting a longer rendering period is needed. It is also essential to note that violent shaking is impossible to correct in any software of this type.

NOTE FOR CORRECTION MENU: If the camera has shake during the zooming of the scene then ZOOMING setting is needed. The same applies to a ROTATION of the camera or angling slightly.
The COMPLETE setting encompasses and embraces all of the above but requires a very long rendering.

BORDER CORRECTION: I would not use ZOOMING that much and only as a last resort as there is and loss of resolution as in any time a JPEG or Video is cropped.


The above is the easiet way to use DESHAKER. There are other adjustment if the camera person was zooming the camera which resulteted in shaking or if the camera was held at a slight angle during shaking. The above should work, in my experience, most of the time.
