Photo Studio 2, need help please

Post by vdoeddy »

I am working on my first big project using PS2. I have added photos from my Kodak Digital Camera. After adding and doing my editing, I go to my SB and see that the photos that I cropped still have big white borders on either side of photos. I can't quite figure out what I did wrong are what I should do to rid the white borders. I know that I can go into the SB fx feature and use the black ( or other colors ) to rid the white borders but I wasn't expecting to have to do so much more work after adding them to the SB. Any help would be appreciated.

Ed,

One thing to check. In the Photo Studio 2 window, in the Presentation section there is a button called Options. Check to see how the Fit to Size option is set. One option is White Border.

As Dennis pointed out - sounds like your culprit is the Fit to Size setting.
I would also point out that it depends on how you cropped your image/s. In the Photo Studio 2 window, in the Crop menu -- what did you have your 'Format' set to? If you had it set to 'Free' you are cropping your photo but it still must fit in the aspect ratio of your video project (either 4:3 or 16:9). If you don't want any borders, you would need to have that aspect ratio selected in the Format setting in the Crop menu.

Hope that helps!

Thanks to the replies from Dennis and Chet. I'll try both of these suggestions and let you know how it went.

Use the animation portion of PS2. Use it to zoom in just enough to eliminate the borders.
