Classic DV in/out

I have just fitted the DV boards into my 060 Classic and see that my input now states :- 'Mini DV' & 'DV + Rear Audio'. 'Mini DV' is obvious but what functions are served by 'DV + Rear Audio'? :roll:

Hi. If I recall correctly, the DV plus rear audio allowed you to input the video via the firewire connection and split out the audio so that you could input it via standard RCA audio cables. This gave you some control over the input audio. Personally, I used this feature all the time. I had my audio going through an Mackie audio mixer and a compressor/limiter prior to going to the Cassie. I hope this helps!
