Sure Franklin,
Simply go into the Finish menu, set the Record to VCR to HDV (if it isn't), Create (which will activate the Recorder-Controls) and export to tape.
Another way to archive this would be to external hard drive which saves all the Projects, including HDV ones.
For that you need a USB connected hard drive properly formatted to FAT32 which can be done easily on a PC in seconds or if the drive already is formated in the current standard NTSF just attempting to use it for this process will give you the option to allow the S4P to properly format it for you.
System Settings, Hard-drive backup and follow the directions.

Tim,
did not know till now that it is possible to format an ext. harddrive to FAT32 if it comes with NTSF.
I opened system settings and found my "Backup Medium" which already is FAT32 formatted, but can't see
any option for formatting.
Will this option only show up when the harddrive is formatted in NTSF attempting to save projects?
Another thing: My harddrive has a total capacity of 298,1 GB. Used capacity is 41,1GB.
So there should be an available capacity of 257,0 GB.
But the listing shows only an available capacity of 100,3 GB
What's wrong with my mathematics?

Yes, it apparently only shows/offers this option when you have a hard drive with the wrong formatting (aka: NTSF).
Well your math sounds fine.
Could you have more than one partition on the drive?

Tim,
no there is no partition on the harddrive.

Hans,
Well, there is at least one partition by the nature of the beast.
If there is only one I am not sure then, have you checked this on a PC to verify there is only one partition and that it reads the full 300GB (approximately)?

Tim,
all is OK with maths. PC says of 298 GB full capacity 198 GB are used and 100 GB are free.
Got mixed up with the used capacity of 41,1 GB of intern harddrive.

"Another way to archive this would be to external hard drive which saves all the Projects, including HDV ones."
Just a note . . . this option requires the installation (purchase) of HD-Backup Bogart.
It's an excellent program !

Franklin,
.Best option is to save the HDV project to tape as suggested for archiving in the new ARABESK 4.3 that is on the German site. However, no menus at this time.
.Be aware that saving to HDV tape will result in observing only ONE scene.....no splits etc like
DV backup when reimporting back to editing appliance.
.Saving to HD in the project window has two settings. MTS and HDV. MTS=AVCHD HDV=MPEG 2 You can save to disc or I suggest a USB FLASH with large storage******
.MTS will be able to import via the BOGART side RECORD WINDOW USB ICON. HDV will not.
.HDV backup to any media requires Media Manager for importation. MTS/AVCHD does not and the BOGART side will read AVCHD. Media Manager for MPEG 2 Does not function properly is being addressed.
NOTE: For the present time........................ Never use the OPTIMIZED setting in Media manager.
.**** MPEG-2 can be saved to disc and is a DATA file NOT a DVD. This disc will play PRISTINE in PS3.
***** MPEG 2 from a FLASH DRIVE has to be dragged into a folder called: VIDEO then played on PS 3.
***** All MPEG 2 and AVCHD (among others with the new firmware update) files will play on the Western Digital TV in OUTSTANDING HD. Some videographers are giving away these 100 dollars "boxes" as part of the HD wedding package-included in the price of course.
LASTLY........Franklin, did you receive my home address?
