Format Classic Hard Drives?

I have been given a number of Classic hard drives in caddies from other machines, is there any way that I could format these drives so that I could use them on my Classic and install my packages? seems a shame not to use them instead of dumping them.

In order to assign these drives to your machine, you must do a full install of version 2.7.8 and then you can update to whatever OS you are running and install all of your add on packages.

Any version 2 of the OS will work for a reformat, then install your latest version 3.xx. Version 3.0.13 was the last stand alone update. However, version 3.1 is embedded in some of the add-on software packages like Candy Factory.

I have tried V.2.7.4. Installdisk and it comes up 'The harddisk does not belong to this Casablanca, Insallation is not possible', is there anything I can do now?
